The Tesla Model 3 Facelift, codenamed "Project Highland," introduced significant changes to the SR+ variant, particularly in design, performance, and interior features. The most notable exterior updates include a redesigned front end with a sleeker, less bulbous profile and narrower, more aggressive headlights, contributing to an improved aerodynamic coefficient (Cd) of 0.219, down from 0.225 on the pre-facelift model.
The SR+ variant now features the new "Ultra Red" paint option and updated badging, replacing the previous Tesla "T" logo with "TESLA" on the rear.
In terms of performance, the facelifted SR+ model boasts a WLTP range of 344 miles, representing an 11-12% improvement over the pre-facelift version.
This increase is attributed to enhanced aerodynamics and other efficiency improvements. The model also features new 18″ "Photon" wheels, which are designed to balance aesthetics and range.
Interior upgrades for the SR+ include a larger 15.4" center display with a smaller bezel, improved ambient lighting, and a new rear 8-inch touchscreen for rear passengers.
The steering column has been redesigned with the deletion of traditional stalks, replacing them with buttons on the left side of the steering wheel for turn signals and gear selection.
Other enhancements include ventilated front seats, improved sound insulation, a quieter interior, and a larger rear trunk with a capacity of up to 594 liters.
The sound system has been upgraded to 17 speakers, including two subwoofers, and the vehicle now features improved Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity with UWB support for better phone key functionality.
